A statue of the Dead Christ, the crownless head gently tilted down and to the left, with the slightest frowning forehead, eyes closed and parted lips. The long hair, rendered in deep, almost geometrical curls, is painted a not so dark brown shade, as also the beard -- but there are no traces of red paint upon the body.The perizonium is carved with bold folds and ornamented edge and held in place by a doubly knotted rope. The wooden cross is adorned with carved foliage and further enriched with silver appliques. Luso-Indian school, Goa (India), XVII century.

A  statue of the Dead Christ, the head crowned with thorns gently bent down and left, the eyes closed, with polychromed long hair and beard, the smooth lithe body also showing remains of color, nailed to a wooden Cross in the liking of a rough tree trunk inserted on a baroque wooden stand.With an elaborate perizonium, knotted by a double rope, and a scrolled INRI. Hispanic-Philippine School, middle XVIII century.
Some fingers restored.
